Estate sale of the decade!

Estate sale of the decade!
By: Paul J.Dunn

It is an honour to be organizing the most amazing estate-antique sale for both Tom and I.
We believe this is sale that you won’t believe!

Day One: We travelled to the house today to formulate our set-up plan.

We were there all day in this awesome 3 floor museum of 17th & 18th century items.
In formulating our plan we think about customer and employee safety, logistics and security of these very valuable items.

Day Two: It was time to put our plan into action!

We decided to start on the 3rd floor where we discovered many Victorian antique chairs; chaises, floor; table lamps, and chandeliers. We also found a cello which needs some TLC. We opened one box a we were amazed to see five 17th & 18th century antique wind-up toys, all in working condition! We opened another huge box which we knew was a painting but we couldn't believe what it was! It was 17th century painting by the renowned artist, Mario Nuzzi, or Mario di Fiori was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, active mainly in Rome. He was a pupil of the painter Tommaso Salini. He was among the first Italians specializing in still life painting of flower arrangements.

If the day wasn't exciting enough we unwrapped another box and found the 17th century secretary! Its absolutely gorgeous!

I was dizzy with the day’s discoveries, I had to get some fresh air where I had the pleasure of talking to the next door neighbour.  She told me a few stories about the gentleman who collected all these wonderful items we were uncovering.  He was very well liked and respected in this family oriented community.

Well, that was day one; I can’t imagine what day two has in store for us.

I will keep you posted on my blog!

Stay Tuned.
